Solid all around the board for the place. Fair pricing for great food, but not a deal by any means. Portions are meant to instigate a app + entre pair. All food was very good and unique, but definitely different - well worth a try in my opinion.
Food is a Italian and Indian combo in the most simple terms. Really tough to make this combo work, but I think the chef did a good job.
What really stood out here to me were the drinks! I had4 different drinks total and they were all really awesome. Since the food is so expensive and didn't completely blow my socks off and isn't really a bargain, I'd come back for the drinks only if I wanted to do a fancy cocktail night.
Oh, and we got some free Lemocello as a "desert.". Was super tasty and appreciated!
A great restaurant with an idea. Classic Italian cuisine, where care is taken to ensure the quality of ingredients and ensure that the pasta is al dente, but you may also encounter a surprise here. The chef dear introduces Indian flavors. this combination creates the perfect place for an evening full of positive surprises. as I wrote earlier - the pasta was cooked perfectly. We tried the pasta of the day (carbonara) and Capellini Aglio e Olio - this is a dish with a very distinct taste, maybe not everyone will like it due to the presence of curry, but it is worth trying because it is something new. As for the main courses - the lamb was so soft that you didn't have to bite it. It melted in your mouth. Also among the classic dessert proposals you can find the influence of Indian flavors - I recommend panna cotta. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. You can sit at the bar, talk to the staff and watch the chefs prepare your dishes. If I return to Denver, I will definitely visit Spuntino again.
I am very particular in hospitality, was in the business as a bartenderfor 14 years, and trust my review. Greeting was great at the door, and Ari made us feel at ease as we sat down. I just had my car totaled earlier in the day on my birthday, so I needed it. We loved Ari so much that we were very sad to see her go, but the rest of the experience was still fantastic. Seamless transition to our server, Janine. We had the insalada and aranchini for appetizers, and they were fantastic. If you love gorgonzola like I do, get the salad. They had one more lasagna but I didn't get it. But, they took care of me as they read the sadness on my face. Possibly, they recognized my love of lasagna and knew I would come back, but I am a good poker player and thought I hid it (but they were spot on, and I have never played poker for a serving of lasagna). My wife got the tagliatelle and I got the Indian/Curry/Italian dish (capelinni aglio with egg) and we were both very happy. My wife and I actually battled over hers, but just know the tagliatelle was very green. The Costi Di Moro red wine was a lovely wine for your meal. I will be back for the lasagna without a doubt. This is a 6 out of 5, I hope you get Ari or Janine as your server, and know this was a decision I will never regret for any occasion. If you get Janine as the server, just say "get me whatever you recommend. Thanks." Definitely recommend and see you there!
I celebrated my birthday at Spuntino and I am so glad this is the place I chose. The diners next to me told me they've won a James Beard Award for Hospitality, which is not surprising at all because the whole team took such good care of me including giving me a little birthday truffle. The service is so wonderful and the food is good - I especially recommend the elk tartare. I wish I had a bigger stomach because so many of their pastas and desserts sound so good and can't wait to come back again.
My friend and I were in Denver on vacation and stopped here on our last night! The service was fantastic-everyone was so kind and took such good care of us while we were there! The food was also amazing! We highly recommend the scallops and donuts for dessert! Everything was truly amazing and meal we will remember for a long time.
We came to Spuntinos for my 65th birthday, what a spectacular restaurant. The owner, Cindhu came out to say hello to our Son and Daughter-in-law who are frequent guest. Pictures are of Focaccia e Ricotta with the roasted garlic. Olives, served warm with spices. Arancini, traditional risotto balls, to die for. For our main course we had Raviolini, that were filled with cheese and dates. I had the Pasta del Giorno that was a fettuccine pasta with a lemon butter with fresh saffron and prawns. Our waiter, John has been here over 10 years and was so awesome going over the entire menus with us.
The indian inspired pasta is definitely a dish I would go back for. It was super unique and the way they balanced the fusion of flavors was perfectly executed in that dish. The other dishes were good, classic Italian flavors, not the most captivating, but still good. The indian pasta dish is what takes this place to the upper echelon
Great atmosphere and service. Food was good but we had recently visited another nearby Italian restaurant with homemade pasta and it is still our favorite thus far. Desserts were killer. Solid date night choice but a bit loud.
